Startribune: Minneapolis/St. Paul has the longest title drought (Major Sports)

So, when the boys at KFAN refer to the Twin Cities as Loserville, they're not kidding.
Michael Rand, Startribune --- Also, this Minneapolis/St. Paul title drought designation is being measured against only those U.S. markets that have at least three pro teams spread among the NBA, NHL, MLB and NFL. Hence markets like Portland or Salt Lake City are not included. There are 18 U.S. markets that have at least three of those teams (Toronto also qualifies if we expand to North American markets and has won a World Series more recently than the Twins).

With those asides considered, these facts remain:

*The Twins were the last of the “big four” teams in Minnesota to win a championship, in 1991. Washington D.C. is close behind, with a Super Bowl in early 1992 (won in Minnesota, no less) being that city’s most recent “big four” title. The Boston area has won approximately 11 billion championships in that span, using rosters comprised of roughly 87 percent Minnesota connections.
Having read this, the Vikings are the Twin Cities best hope to break this streak.

PFT: Vikings Lead NFL In Arrests Over the Last Five Years

Kind of a dubious honor.  It also doesn't surprise me, not in the least.

Per Pro Football Talk:
According to data compiled by former San Jose Mercury News reporter Mike Rosenberg, the Vikings are leading the way with 18 arrests the last five years.

They’re followed by the Broncos (16), the Colts and Buccaneers (13 each) and the 49ers (12).

At the other end of the spectrum, the Texans come in last with just one, and they cut rookie defensive tackle Brandon Ivory within days of his arrest in Alabama.

The Chargers, Giants and Panthers are tied for next-to-last with three each, and the Dolphins and Saints are next with four. The Patriots are among the teams next with five, even though one of theirs was the double-murder conviction for former tight end Aaron Hernandez.
That being said, this is nothing to be proud of. Not an honor that the Vikings want to have.
There have been 260 NFL player arrests over the last 260 weeks (5 years). New team-by-team arrest breakdown: pic.twitter.com/iNfgyUrzlf — Mike Rosenberg (@RosenbergMerc) August 10, 2015

Daily News: Tom Brady will be suspended by Roger Goodell

Any one have a prediction on how long of a suspension that Tom Brady will receive? I have seen were some want Brady to be suspended for the whole season. That would be pretty harsh in my opinion.
Gary Myers, New York Daily News -- Tom Brady will be the highest-profile player ever suspended in the 96-year history of the NFL.

Roger Goodell’s decision is expected to be announced next week, and it is no longer a matter of if the NFL commissioner will suspend Brady, but for how long he will suspend him.

In conversations I’ve had with several key sources who always have a good sense of what goes on at 345 Park Ave., there is little doubt that Goodell considers Brady’s role in DeflateGate a serious violation.

The NFL is convinced, according to sources, that connecting all the dots of the evidence supplied by Ted Wells leads to one conclusion:

Brady cheated.
Finally, are we to believe that the New England Patriots are the only team that cheats? I hardly think so.

According to Myers who talked to multiple sources, Tom Brady is going to  receive a two-game suspension. It also looks like the Patriots are going to be fined $250,000.00

Deflated balls or not, does anyone think that the result against the Colts would have been any different. I am not condoning cheating, but the Patriots beat the Colts 45-7. DeflateGate or not, the Patroits were a better team than the Colts.

University of Minnesota seeks to bar Redskins' Nickname at Stadium

You have got to be kidding me? If I was the Washington Redskins team owner I would tell the Unversity of Minnesota to go pound sand. This is another example of political correctness run amok.
IAN SHAPIRA , Washington Post - The University of Minnesota is working with the Minnesota Vikings in an effort to keep the Washington Redskins’ name from being used in “promotional and game date materials” during the NFL teams’ Nov. 2 game at the school’s stadium in Minneapolis, according to an Aug. 1 letter from university President Eric Kaler to U.S. Rep. Betty McCollum, D-Minn.

It is unclear to what degree the Vikings are collaborating in this process.

Kaler was responding to a June letter from McCollum to Minnesota Vikings owner Zygi Wilf — to which the university president was copied — urging the owner to condemn the Redskins’ team name. McCollum argued that Wilf needed to take a stand against “that hateful slur” because all of the NFL teams split the sales of their licensed merchandise equally

Minnesota Vikings Humor?

I couldn't resist, it would actually be funny, if I wasn't a Minnesota Vikings fan/apologist. They absolutely suck, they're horrible. First Leslie Frasier should be fired and sent packing. Blow the team up.
